Late US Singer, Prince Allegedly Diagnosed With AIDS 6 Weeks Before His Death & Refused Treatment

American Pop icon, Prince Rogers Nelson was diagnosed with AIDS before he died, the National Enquirer reports exclusively.

The 57-year-old singer was found dead inside an elevator at his Paisley Park complex in Minnesota on Thursday, April 21.

An insider told the Enquirer Prince was diagnosed with “full-blown AIDS” six months ago.

According to the Enquirer, Prince kept his AIDS diagnosis a secret from his fans and even from his closest friends.

The source said the “Purple Rain” singer refused all medical treatments, believing he could be cured by prayer!

The 5-foot-2 Grammy Award winner was a devoted follower of the Jehovah’s Witness religion.

An autopsy was performed on Friday but no cause of death was determined. The toxicology results should be back by now, but according to the Enquirer‘s source, the family insists the toxicology report be “heavily censored” to respect Prince’s privacy,'”

The source revealed, “Doctors told Prince his blood count was unusually low and that his body temperature had dropped dangerously below the normal 98.6 degrees to 94 degrees.”

“He was totally iron-deficient, very weak and often disoriented. He rarely ate and when he did, it all came right back up.”

According to the source, Prince contracted the HIV virus in the 1990s, but was encouraged by members of his faith to ignore it and not take the medications prescribed for him.

“They told Prince he’d have everlasting life, and believed he had been cured by faith,” the source said.

He reportedly discussed his funeral plans with longtime friends George Clinton of Parliament-Funkadelic and his “Purple Rain” co-star Jerome Benton, said the source.

Prince told them he wanted the song “Sometime It Snows in April” played at his funeral, predicting his death in April and in Minnesota, the source said.

After he was briefly hospitalized for a few hours in Moline, Illinois, the singer performed before an audience of 200 grateful fans to prove he was “alive and well,” a source said.

But in an ominous note, he told the crowd: “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.”
